We are SO happy we found Marie! A group of 6 friends and I traveled from Chicago for the first time to Montreal. We had no idea where to start or what to see. Marie was extremely friendly and accommodating right from the start through emails. It's very clear she knows her city well and loves it! My wife and I went on a 3-hour tour with Marie. We enjoyed our time so much with her and the sights she showed us that we booked her again for a 4-hour tour two days later. The scooters are extremely easy to use and you get to see so much more than you would if you rode a bike or walked. Take the tour as soon as you can after arriving in Montreal to allow you to orient yourself with this wonderful city and make sure Marie takes you to the bagel shop during the tour. Money well spent.

My husband and I had a fantastic private tour of the Old Town with Marie last Friday and we highly recommend her! Despite inclement weather, Marie was upbeat and energetic every minute of our tour. She was very knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about her city and took time to answer all of our questions. Two hours with Marie absolutely flew by! And by the end we really had learned a great deal about Montreal's fascinating history and architecture in a most enjoyable way. Our tour with Marie was fantastic! She was very prompt, and when one of the members of my family weren't feeling well, she was incredibly patient and accommodating to their needs.

This was a great tour of Old Montreal. Marie knows the city's history and shares some great stories about the beginnings and people who helped to build the city. You can tell she loves the city and is passionate about sharing that love. Much of what she shared would not have been obvious if we just walked around on our own. So glad we took the tour.

Marie ran a fantastic tour of old Montreal, teaching us about the earlier days and how it was established. She was very knowledgeable on the city’s history and showed her passion with the group. She also pointed out a few great places to eat afterwards If you would like to learn about old Montreal with a passionate local, you can’t go past this tour!

We scheduled a walking tour with Marie on short notice and couldn't have been more pleased. Marie was responsive and flexible in setting up our tour. She was extremely knowledgeable about Montreal and had many interesting stories that brought life to the city's history. We highly recommend using Marie for anyone visiting Montreal.

We really enjoyed the tour. I was really impressed with the little touches to cater for my two young girls such as including the changing seasons light show. Marie had contacted me earlier to find out their interests and this shows the dilapidated fence and care she brought. She engaged both my girls to the extent that they forgot they had to walk.

I was nervous about driving the scooter at first. But Marie train you and so many of the streets have bike lanes it really wasn't a big deal. Marie was our guide and she was fantastic, so much fun and so informative and charming. It was such an adventure, I felt like we really got an insiders experience on Montreal. You make different stops and hear about the city. This is a great thing to do with a group or a couple. It was a highlight our trip!

I had a wonderful private tour with Marie on a rainy morning in Montreal. I mentioned to Marie that I was interested in history and architecture and she indeed focused on these topics in a walk of the old quarter. She immediately sensed my level of knowledge and adapted the tour on the fly providing more in-depth information on the history of Montreal. The tour was very interactive; more of a conversation than a conventional "tour". Marie is bright and energetic and passionate about her work. I found her to be delightful and personable and I enjoyed our three hours spent together enormously. Our walking tour with Marie was a really wonderful experience. She started with an overlook of the ​harbor and then a well-paced walk through the streets and sites of the old city. Marie brought energy and passion to her description of a variety of characters who were important in the history of the city. I think this was a unique approach, communicating the history through stories rather than facts and dates. Marie is both personable and knowledgeable. She really enjoys her role. She demonstrates a real interest in her guests. There is nothing rote or routine about a tour with Marie.

I have had other guided tours before, but never one so enjoyable! Marie is passionate about her subject-& it shows. She prepared for her 2.5-hour tour with a diverse group of visitors to Montreal by asking for our specific fields of interests and made it a personal experience, I suspect, for each of us. I was a little lost still on the 3rd day of our stay in Montreal, trying to come to terms with the city, but Marie's deep insight into its history architecture made it come alive. Great going Marie!

Marie is amazing. She's fun, insightful, creative and has amazing patience. She took me and my four young kids (12,10,8,8) around today on a tour by foot and by bike. We saw every part of Montreal as well as a bunch of fun insider stuff you just won't see on any old tour. Anyone who can handle an army of kids who ask when do they eat and "are we their yet" about a billion times while keeping everyone's attention, deserves the highest praise. All the kids have spent the rest of the day raving about Marie!

We really enjoyed our tour with Marie! She was very thoughtful, having checked with us our expectations well ahead of the day of our tour and getting in touch with us the day before. She showed us the main points of attraction in the Old Montreal, telling us about the history of the city and other aspects as well. She answered all our questions, gave us some tips and was very entertaining. It was lovely to have her as a guide and we definitely recommend her tour. These are a few hours well spent!

I did two private tours with Marie: 1) E-bike tour of Montreal, covering Old Montreal, Downtown, Old Port, a bit of the F1 track (Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve), then onto Île Sainte-Hélène (St Helen’s Island), crossed the Pont Jacques-Cartier and back to surrounding neighbourhood of the city. 2) E-scooter tour of Le-Plateau, Mont-Royal, Mile End and Little Italy.

I think these two are the best way to explore Montreal because it's such a big city. With the help of an E-bike and E-scooter, we could cover and explore more areas. I had an incredible experience and lots of fun with Marie. I have not biked for over 15 years and was feeling very nervous being on a bike. The very fun and encouraging Marie made the whole tour possible. She has changed my opinion and nervousness about cycling tour and I am actually doing more bike tours now! Marie is such a passionate guide who loves Montreal very much and like to show this amazing city with its visitors. She always has fun and interesting stories to add to the tour too, making the tours very unique. I enjoyed my time with Marie so much and I highly recommend her tours to anyone visiting Montreal. Both tours were the highlight of my trip to Montreal!

Marie exceeds any expectation I had for an introductory tour of Montreal. She provided brilliant commentary. Her itinerary was well thought out and very well executed. Her energy, love of Montreal are infectious. Have booked many guides all over the world, she ranks among the best. We four American adults had a wonderful 2-1/2 hour tour of Old Montreal with Marie. Although it was raining she found places for us to stand under cover while she explained the history, culture, and sights. Her presentation was knowledgeable, clever, and sometimes humorous, and when we asked questions she inevitably knew the answers. We highly recommend Marie to show you her city, of which she is justifiably proud.

She was really professional, on time, made great suggestions for restaurants and things to do that we did not consider before we arrived in Montréal. Marie’s “Old-Montreal Delights with a local” tour was extremely informative and enjoyable. It’s clear from the beginning that she has put a lot of thought and research into her tour. As the very first thing I did after I arrived, I found her tour extremely helpful to get a fuller picture of the old town area, clearer picture of Montreal’s origins and key founders, and a helpful touchstone for navigating the modern version of old town during the rest of my stay. One more thing: Marie gives a nice summary of the founding of the country of Canada. She is warm and engaging throughout the tour and provides an insightful, nuanced description of historical events, the key men and women who secured the settlement in its earliest years, and the evolving interplay between the French-speaking and English-speaking inhabitants. Her tour is top notch!

Marie was extremely accommodating as we had two grandmothers on the trip with us and she waited patiently while we took photos and lingered to admire the sites. She was very informative and we all learned a lot about Vieux Montreal on this tour. At the end, she supplied us with a native sweet and a map where she detailed a few recommended restaurants. My hubby and I took Marie’s private tour of Old Montreal in September 2019. She was very good about responding to email in the “setting up the tour” process. Marie was so wonderful! As we planned the trip she was responsive and gave us some other suggestions that made our whole trip more magical! Marie has infectious enthusiasm for Montreal! We thoroughly enjoyed this private tour of more than the standard tourist hot spots. We had unusually warm weather (October) to enjoy the E-Bikes allowing us to reach several villages, the waterfront and green spaces with little effort. Marie provided multiple stops with points of interest to appreciate the metamorphosis of the historical settlement into a planned urban centre with peaceful areas to escape city life (art installations, architecture, parks, Expo 67). Marie has a rich knowledge and shared hidden gems. I appreciated Marie asking in advance of the tour what we wanted to see. She matched our desires for a robust experience and even provided food recommendations for our stay.
